RAT fun with the girls!

28 month old Glimmer participated in her first Barn Hunt Trials in March 2022! She did a fabulous job Qualifying in Instinct attaining her RATI Title, Qualifying with 3 legs in Novice to attain her RATN Title, and Qualifying for one leg in Open! It was super fun to watch her have a blast!

Lily made her return to Barn Hunt in March 2022 Qualifying in 2 Senior runs and attaining a High in Class! Lily participated several years ago in Barn Hunt and appeared to lose interest, however her spunk is back to search for RATS!!!!

Grace had a huge trailing week in March 2022. She participated in 6 Barn Hunt trials over 3 days attaining her first two legs in Master. Barn Hunt trials were followed by the North American Sport Dog Association Best of Breed Showcase and Invitational.

Introduction to K9 Nosework®

Your dog’s sense for scents is amazing and teaching them to apply this attribute in a focused and positive reinforcement/reward-based manner is a lot of fun for both the dog and the handler!

In this Introduction to Canine NoseWork® course you will learn how to build your dog’s motivation to search, and support them in gaining confidence to search in a variety of environments and elements including containers, interiors, exteriors and vehicles. This is a 6-week course that will be followed by the next steps in the process of learning K9 NoseWork®! Training is REWARD based – very high value treats are essential! All dogs work alone with their handler and are required to be crated or confined in their vehicle (weather depending).

Golden Girls Shine at the Lodi Scent Work Trial

Sundance Golden Retriever's Golden Girls had a wonderful trialing weekend in Lodi with the Stockton Beagle Club and a wonderful group of friends! Thank you to the Club, the Judges and Dee Dee and Bill for holding the trials!

Lily attained her Advanced Buried as well as her Overall Advanced Title and ran successfully in her first Excellent classes! Aura contributed to her Advanced Elite quest and ran successfully in Excellent Buried , Grace successfully ran in her first trials this weekend running in all the offered Novice classes - she did great, only missing 1 hide!!!! Overall the Golden Girls went 15 of 16. So proud of my girls!
